Your desert adventure begins in the morning with pick-up from your accommodation or the airport in Marrakech. We head toward the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), a breathtaking mountain road offering stunning views of Berber villages and rugged landscapes.
Our first major stop is the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a filming location for many international blockbusters such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones.
After enjoying lunch either at the kasbah or in Ouarzazate, we continue through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, passing traditional Berber villages. The journey then takes us through the scenic Draa Valley, known for its vast palm groves and Morocco’s longest river.
In the afternoon, we arrive in Zagora, where a camel trek through the desert awaits. As the sun sets, painting the sky in golden hues, you’ll experience one of the most enchanting moments of the trip. We then head to the desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner with live drumming under the starry Sahara sky.
Wake up early to enjoy a peaceful sunrise camel ride over the dunes, a serene and unforgettable experience. Afterward, we return to the camp for a hearty Moroccan breakfast.
Our journey continues to Ouarzazate, known as “The Gateway to the Desert.” Here, we visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah and explore the world-renowned film studios where many famous movies have been shot.
