Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Marrakech. After a scenic 1.5-hour drive, arrive in Imlil, a charming mountain village and the gateway to Toubkal National Park. Upon arrival, meet your local mountain guide and set off on an acclimatization hike.
You’ll visit nearby waterfalls, stroll through Berber villages, and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding peaks before settling in for the night at a welcoming guesthouse in Imlil.
After breakfast, begin your ascent along the picturesque Ait Mizane Valley, passing through Aremd village and the spiritual site of Sidi Chamarouch, a popular pilgrimage destination. Follow winding mule trails and rocky slopes as you climb steadily toward the Toubkal Refuge, your base for the summit push.
This day includes approximately 5 to 6 hours of trekking, with a 1,500m elevation gain. Rest and prepare for the next day’s summit attempt.
Begin your summit day early, ascending gradually along the south cirque above the refuge. Though technically straightforward, the route can be physically demanding due to altitude and scree. However, the reward is immense: 360-degree panoramic views stretching from the Marrakech plains to the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the edge of the Sahara Desert.
After celebrating your achievement at the summit, descend back to the refuge for lunch, then continue trekking down to Imlil for a well-earned rest. This is a full day of hiking (approx. 9 to 10 hours), with a 960m climb and descent.
Enjoy a relaxed morning in Imlil, with time for a short stroll or village exploration. After breakfast, transfer back to Marrakech, where the tour concludes with drop-off at your accommodation.
